Having been a registered nurse for 25 years, I had always wanted to get my BSN degree. I would always tell young people to get their BSN right from the start because it's hard to go back after so many years, and having kids and a family. The first call I made to a college, they did not return my call. Then I received information from Northwestern College's RN2BSN Program, which is taken all online. The lady called me right back and got me set right up with all my credits transferring in from when I originally got my RN. It was scary to think about, but I decided to go for it. They were difficult courses, but they have it set up where you can take one fast paced class at a time. It worked out well. I had to make some sacrifices, and I had homework every night, but I was still able to work and I earned my BSN in 2 years.
