 The Tri-State Nursing Learning Center offers a variety of classes for both employees and businesses. Our services include blood born pathogen classes and monthly certified nurse aide classes; in addition, Tri-State Nursing offers CPR and First Aid certification from the American Heart Association and the National Safety Council. All of these classes, as well as others, can be tailored to the needs of any company and are taught at either the company’s location or at our facility; daycare providers, nursing homes, churches and many other facilities are currently taking advantage of these classes and services. Tri-State Nursing offers excellent onsite facilities and flexible scheduling to fit your needs.


Healthcare Provider CPR: This course is 4 hour length course for adults either currently in healthcare or beginning their healthcare career. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency medical procedure for a victim of cardiac arrest or, in some circumstances, respiratory arrest. The purpose of the Healthcare CPR class is to provide advanced knowledge of emergency cardiac care, psychomotor ability, and attitude necessary to manage basic cardiac and airway emergencies. There is a two year renewal requirement to maintain this certification.

BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR: This course is 4 hour length course for adults and is intended for an employee or student who is required to have a CPR card from the American Heart Association. In this course you will be learning CPR using dummies, masks, valves, and AED trainers. There is a quick and easy performance test at the end of the session, and further explanation if needed. You will receive your American Heart Association card in the mail after you have successfully taken and passed the test. Prices include program, tuition, and books. There is a two year renewal requirement to maintain this certification.

Basic First Aid for Adults: This course is 4 hour length course for those needing to meet a workplace requirement, a course prerequisite, continuing education requirements, or for those who have just always wanted to know how to help sick and injured people. First aid is the provision of initial care for an illness or injury. It is usually performed by a lay person to a sick or injured casualty until definitive medical treatment can be accessed. Certain self-limiting illnesses or minor injuries may not require further medical care past the first aid intervention. The purpose of this course is to prepare people with the ability to manage medical and traumatic emergencies before EMS arrives at the scene.

The Mandatory Reporter Course is three hours long and covers both Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Reporting. The cost of the course is $45.00. This is an on your own course and can be scheduled by appointment with the Learning Center at 800-727-1912. You will receive an Mandatory Reporter Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Reporting Certificate after completing the course. This certification must be renewed every five years.
